A-Line remanufactured calipers are the perfect solution for fleets that want to lower cost per mile (CPM) without compromising the quality or functionality of their air disc braking system.
A-Line remanufactures calipers using at least 90% brand new components. Every component is manufactured to OE standards and then torqued to OE specifications for proper long-term function.
Identifying Your Caliper’s
Wheel Rotation
To determine the wheel rotation and “handed” designation for Bendix ADB22X and Knorr Bremse SK7 calipers, note that the wheel rotates toward the fixed long guide pin first. (The fixed long guide pin generally has a silver sealing cap.)
As shown in the photo below at left, starting from the bottom of the caliper, the clockwise wheel rotation reaches the Long Guide Pin first, designating this as a right hand caliper. The photo on the right shows counter-clockwise rotation reaching the Long Guide Pin first, making it a left-handed caliper.
IMPORTANT: In rare cases, RH and LH designations can change, so it will always be helpful to know the Long Guide Pin position.
Identifying Your Caliper’s
Wheel Pitch
To determine the caliper pitch, inspect where the actuator mounts to the caliper. If it mounts at 90 degree angle, then it is considered to have a 0-degree pitch.
The 0-degree pitch is found primarily on trailer applications.
If the chamber points in a slightly upwards direction, and not 90 degrees, then it has a 12-degree pitch.
The 12-degree pitch is primarily found on power units.
